After earning her bachelor’s degree in fine art and education in 1955, Ringgold began teaching art in public schools while developing her own art. The painting, arguably the series’ most famous, gorily depicts a group of men, women and children brutally attacking one another.

Now, Conan Doyle’s letters recounting that fated dinner and his sole handwritten manuscript of “The Sign of Four” are being auctioned by Sotheby’s New York, alongside other literary treasures. The manuscript alone is expected to fetch up to $1.2 million, given its unique significance and status as the most valuable Conan Doyle item ever offered at auction, a Sotheby’s statement said. Thompson-Robinson was hit just below his chin as he released a pass. Cleveland has already lost starting QB Deshaun Watson to a season-ending shoulder injury. CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Browns are signing former Super Bowl MVP quarterback Joe Flacco to their practice squad, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Sunday night. The addition of Flacco bolsters Cleveland's quarterback depth after Deshaun Watson was lost for the season with a shoulder fracture. The 38-year-old Flacco will give the Browns an established backup as well as a mentor for Thompson-Robinson, who went 24 of 43 for 165 yards and an interception against the Steelers.
